£30m Cash Boost for Coventry City – Sven after Korean Striker for Leicester City

There a group of investors including former Vice-Chairman Kevin Hoffman, who state they are prepared to invest up to £30m into the cash strapped club. Hoffman left the club after disagreements on the running of the Midlands operation and current chairman Ken Dulieu, whilst claiming to be willing to settle any differences if a genuine offer is on the table, has also claimed that current owners SISU are prepared to continue supporting the club financially

Whilst the off the field politics continue, Coventry open their campaign on Saturday lunchtime by hosting one of the favourites for the title and Midlands rivals just up the M69, Leicester City. No such cash flow issues for the Foxes though, as Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed interest in Korean striker, Jong Tae Se. Seen at the world cup, he would be an exciting acquisition, but Sven says he is just one in a very long list of players they are still considering before the window closes at the end of the month.

To matters on the pitch. This is the fourth year on the trot that Coventry have kicked off at home. They have not lost on the opening day of the season since 2000 when they went down at home in the Premiership to Middlesbrough. Leicester on the other hand will be looking to get off to a better start than they did last season when going down at Crystal Palace 3-2 on the opening day.

Despite Valuecheckers pre season bet of Coventry for relegation, Valuechecker has stated that Leicester are too short to back for promotion at their current 9/2 odds. We suggested waiting a few weeks if you fancy them to get a better price. They could drift after this game even, and we take this East Midlands battle to end a draw. BET365 offer 3.4 on the outcome.

If Gary McSheffrey starts for Coventry, have a cheeky little FGS bet too. Leicester tended to concede first too often last season.

Recommendation: Bet the game to finish all square at 3.4 (Bet365) - Gary Mcsheffrey to score first for Coventry if starting
