Blackburn Have Excellent Chance Of Upset Against Liverpool

Blackburn take on Liverpool on Tuesday night and Blackburn certainly have the more to gain from a win with their relegation rivals all doing poorly over the weekend whilst Liverpool have little except for pride to play for in the Premiership now and they are likely to have at least one eye firmly on Saturday’s FA Cup semi final clash against Everton at Wembley.

There is little surprise that Blackburn have been highlighted by the ValueChecker Value Bets in this game as their form, despite not being brilliant, is markedly better than Liverpool’s. The ValueChecker Value Bets are based on a statistical analysis of previous results and considering Liverpool have managed to win just one of their last nine league games and Blackburn have managed to win two of their last five so ValueChecker has gone for Blackburn at the current odds of  3.6. ValueChecker suggests that the odds on Blackburn should be closer to 1.96 and as a result of that difference in odds ValueChecker has assigned Blackburn a value rating of 0.38 in this match.

As for the Blackburn ValueChecker wikis, they suggest that Blackburn can be winning at half time at the very least in this match. If all the games during the 10/11 Premiership season had ended at half time Blackburn would have finished in fourth place. They were winning 13 times, drawing 20 matches and losing just 5 at the half way point in that season. Considering ValueChecker has flagged Blackburn up as a value bet in the full time betting the odds on Blackburn/Blackburn in the half time/full time betting could provide a very good bet here.

The Liverpool ValueChecker wikis show that Liverpool have a bad record when they concede the first goal in their matches. In the 10/11 Premiership season Liverpool conceded the first goal in 10 games and lost 9 of them and the season before Liverpool conceded first in 13 of their matches and lost 11 of those games. This could be another pointer towards Blackburn winning at half time and full time, as long as Blackburn can score the first goal in this game.

Liverpool’s best hope of scoring the first goal in this match culd be if Dirk Kuyt plays as he has proved an important player for Liverpool in the 10/11 Premiership season, not only providing his team with 13 goals but also 8 assists. He had a hand (either scored or assisted) 13 goals the season before. If you fancy Liverpool to get the first goal then Dirk Kuyt might be a good bet to get on the scoresheet.
