Expect Goals From Both Teams As West Brom Host Man City

West Brom now seem to be getting the best out of Peter Odemwingie after a slow start to the season and they could be a force to be reckoned with in the second half of the season with Shane Long also proving a good acquisition for the club in the summer. West Brom will need to be able to score plenty of goals if they are to get a result against Man City who look on course for their first Premiership title this season. This will be a tough test for Roy Hodgson against a fellow ex Inter Milan manager.

James Morrison missed the 3-2 win against Newcastle last week due to a hamstring injury but the Baggies are hopeful that the midfielder will recover from that injury in time to face Man City on Boxing Day. Steven Reid is going to miss around a month's worth of action having undergone knee surgery recently whilst there are major doubts about Youssouf Mulumbu and Jerome Thomas who are struggling with respective groin and ankle injuries.

Man City have an almost fully fit squad to choose from ahead of this trip to the Midlands, the main injury doubt hangs over Edin Dezeko, the Bosnian striker is still struggling with an ankle injury. Micah Richards has a slight calf injury going into this fixture but it is not expected to keep the full back out of action. The City players should be looking to put on a show with Man City possibly looking to strengthen their side again in the January transfer window.

Peter Odemwingie is a very important player for West Brom so his return to form has come at a crucial time for the club and the West Brom ValueChecker Wikis show that Peter Odemwingie made a huge impact in his debut season as a Baggies player last year, not only did he score fifteen goals but he also chipped in with nine assists. With Odemwingie and Long in attack West Brom look likely to score whilst Man City have the best attack in the league having averaged over three goals a game this season in the Premiership. It would be a surprise if both teams don't score in a game that should contain plenty of goals and over 2.5 goals looks well worth a bet in this match.
