Nani And Rooney To Inspire Man Utd To Win Over Wigan

Man Utd look as though they are finally getting their swagger back, there was talk of a crisis at Old Trafford but Man Utd are not only the form team in the division but they are also looking more of an attacking threat in every game. Wigan have also seen an improvement in form recently and having been written off just a few weeks ago, they have now given themselves a realistic chance of survival having moved within one point of safety. This is a tougher test than they have faced recently and it is more likely that games against fellow strugglers will prove more important than this one.

Since Man Utd were beaten by Man City they have dropped just two points and if not for a refereeing mistake would have won eight games straight. No other team in the Premiership has matched that record and with just two goals conceded in eight games United have clearly tightened at the back. Man Utd have scored eleven goals in three games, more than they had scored in their previous nine league matches, and one reason for the improved attacking form could be the improved form of Nani, the Manchester United ValueChecker wikis on the team (click on the green 'W' in the odds matrix to view) Nani is a key player for goals and assists and with three goals in four games he is clearly in form.

Wigan's form has improved massively in the last six matches, only Arsenal have beaten Wigan in their run of two wins, three draws and a loss and amongst those draws were Chelsea and Liverpool so the bigger clubs clearly don't intimidate the Latics, although those draws against the bigger clubs came at home.

Man Utd are clearly playing very well at the moment and should be able to win this game comfortably but there isn't much value in their odds, even in the handicap market where you might need United to win by three or four goals to get any sort of decent return. Wayne Rooney has scored four goals in four games but is a short price to score anytime so better value and the best bet in this match could lie with backing Nani to score anytime. As previously mentioned he plays a huge hand in many United goals and has been in good goalscoring form himself in recent matches.

Recommendation: BACK NANI TO SCORE ANYTIME AGAINST WIGAN
