Norwich To Return To Winning Ways At Fulham's Expense

Norwich were soundly beaten by Spurs on Tuesday but better teams will be beaten by Spurs this season and Norwich shouldn't be too disheartened about that defeat, eleventh place is a great achievement at this stage in the season, especially as Norwich are closer to eighth than the bottom three. Not many would have predicted that Norwich would be above Fulham, big things were expected when Martin Jol took over but it seems all is not right at Craven Cottage and it will be interesting to see who leaves in January, Bobby Zamora being the highest profile player to have apparently fallen out with his Dutch manager.

Norwich are expected to once again be without Marc Tierney who missed the midweek game against Spurs because of a groin strain. Kyle Naughton also missed that game, he wasn't allowed to face his parent club but he would have been suspended for that match anyway and having served his one match ban in a game he wasn't allowed to play in anyway Naughton should return to the starting line up here.

Fulham are missing some key players for this trip to Carrow Road with the likes of Bobby Zamora, Damien Duff and Andrew Johnson all expected to be amongst the absentees. Martin Jol has said in the lead up to this match that he doubts he has enough time to get any of the trio fit in time to face Norwich.

Norwich have been in decent form this season at home, winning four, drawing two and losing just three of their games at Carrow Road. Fulham have been very poor travellers, the main reason why they are thirteenth in the league, they have just one win to show from their nine away trips so far this season. One of Fulham's problems away from home is their lack of goals, they have scored just five this season and even in previous seasons they have a poor scoring record on the road, as shown in their ValueChecker Wikis. That's good news for Norwich, whose main problem this season has been scoring goals, and they can put their strong home record to good use by making it another away defeat for Fulham.
