Spurs To Let Football Do The Talking Against Swansea

Swansea continue to look strong at home on Tuesday but perhaps it is a dropped two points at home to QPR that Swansea might look back on as their defining moment this season. Swansea haven't looked likely to gain many points on the road all season so every point counts at home, luckily so far Swansea's home record has kept them out of the danger zone. Tottenham continue to go from strength to strength, their win over Norwich on Tuesday was mightily impressive and they are looking at least good enough for third place this season.

Steven Caulker has been in good form for Swansea since returning from a knee injury but the young defender is on loan from Spurs this season so is ineligible to face his parent club in this match, Garry Monk looks likely to come in to replace Caulker. There will be a late fitness test for Angel Rangel after the full back suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury against QPR.

Michael Dawson is back in full training following his achilles injury that has kept him out for most the season but this game is likely to come too soon for the England man. Ledley King and Aaron Lennon are definitely still out of action whilst Sebastien Bassong and Roman Pavlyuchenko are major doubts but Jermain Defoe should be fit, but may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Swansea have been strong at home this season, losing just one games at the Liverty Stadium, but they have drawn as many as they have won which perhaps isn't that great considering the only team Swansea have played at home in the top seven is Man Utd, a game in which they lost. Tottenham have the second best away record in the Premiership with nineteen points from nine games and they will like the fact that Swansea try to play as much football as possible so an away win looks a good bet in this match.
