The value indicator shows how the statistical odds calculated from our anaylsis of historical results ("Stat Odds") compare to the actual best odds available from the bookmakers & exchanges.  The number is based on Kellys Criterion as explained in the OLBG guide on staking plans

 

Value indicators are highlighed as  Good Value  Fair Value, and  Bad Value 

 

If you click on a value indicator or the related "Stat Odds" you will see the match histories and basis of calcualtion behind these "Stat Odds".

 

The value indicator IS NOT A STRENGTH RATING or an indication of stake weightings but just a relative measure that highlights selections that are PRICED SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERNETLY to what pure statistical analysis of historical results would imply. Of course there are often good reasons for this, in particular

 

where a football team moves up or down a division its recent form in the old division is unlikely to be a great guide to future form in the new division

 

changes in key players can substantially change expectations for a particular match
