Cardiff City FC are denying any possibility of Sam Hamman returning to the South Wales Club despite rumours that the former Chairman is about to regain control at Cardiff City Stadium.

The club, since losing Hamman, have played in an FA Cup final and a play off final, losing to Blackpool last term after a 3-2 defeat, have denied any link on their official website. They remain one of the favoured teams to go up this term and currently are a best priced 12/1 (Generally available) to win the league. They found themselves out of the top six for only three weeks last year and will be expecting to go one better and take the direct route to the premiership this season.

They may have to do so without the service of Joe Ledley however, who this week has been in Stoke having talks with the Potteries club; They have been trailing him ever since the Cup Final of 2008 when they lost out narrowly to Portsmouth at Wembley, and are now ready to strike for the Welsh International midfielder.
